Recommendation:

Staff recommends the approval of the attached Rappahannock Electric Cooperative easement deed for Tax Map 75-A-37 to allow the Cooperative to relocate underground electric service and an existing light pole at the Berkeley Convenience Site to serve county owned property.

Summary: The easement is necessary to allow Rappahannock Electric Cooperative to relocate the existing service light necessary on county owned property at the Berkeley Convenience Site for public use.  Utilities Department has added additional paving and recycling opportunities at the convenience site and REC has temporarily removed the existing light pole from the vehicle travel path.

Berkeley Convenience Site will not be able to relocate the existing light and the citizens who use the recycling center will be at a higher risk for vehicle damage.
