Approve the award of a contract to J. L. Kent & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $198,330.00 to provide construction services for the Massaponax Church Road Waterline Relocation. The contract has been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office.
An Invitation for Bid (IFB) was issued by the Spotsylvania County Procurement Division on February 28, 2017 to solicit bids from qualified contractors for the Massaponax Church Road Waterline Relocation. The bids were opened on March 29, 2017. Five (5) bids were received for this procurement as follows:

This contract will provide construction services and materials for the relocation of a waterline on Massaponax Church Road for roadway improvements.
The waterline will not be relocated and will be in conflict with proposed roadway improvements on Massaponax Church Road causing delays in the road project.
