| Approve the attached budget adjustment and appropriation in the amount of $157,590 for E-Rate Technology Program revenues and expenditures in the School Operating Fund

| | | | | | | | Summary:
| The Federal universal service Schools and Libraries Program, commonly known as the E-rate Program, helps ensure that schools and libraries can obtain high-speed Internet access and increased wifi support at affordable rates. Eligible items purchased can receive a partial reimbursement of the purchase costs which the school division then uses for the purchase additional technology items. This request is the result of an increase in E-rate revenue collections compared to initial budget projections, as well as higher operational costs as a result of additional needs. This will revise the Schools’ FY 2017 E-rate revenue from $90,455 to $248,045. The Board of Supervisors is required to appropriate all funds before they can be expended by using departments. |
