Recommendation:
Approve Task Order to Moseley Architects, P.C. to provide architectural and engineering design services for the Judicial Center Expansion and Renovation Phase 1. The Task Order has been reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office.

Staff is requesting approval of Task Order to Moseley Architects, P.C. to provide architectural and engineering design services for the expansion and renovation of the existing Judicial Center Phase 1.
Summary:
Services under this Task Order will be for design services for the renovation and expansion of approximately 32,860 square feet to the existing Judicial Center. The work authorized by this contract shall be for architectural and engineering design services related to the expansion and renovation of the existing Judicial Center Phase 1. Procurement Policy for individual Task Orders was followed and the details concerning the Consultant’s responsibilities for this particular task are included in the attached Task Order and Proposal. 
Financial Impact:
Budgeted funds are within the GP1308 project code.  Total cost for this task order is $809,348.00.

Additional Background/Other Considerations:

Task Order is signed by vendor and County Attorney’s Office and is attached.  This Task Order is in compliance with current Contract #14-12-46 for architectural and engineering services previously approved by the Board. County departments utilize task order based agreements for architectural and engineering services routinely throughout the year. Task order based agreements allow for increased efficiencies in terms of time and value to the tax payer. Procurement policy is followed in all task order based agreements and task orders valued at $100,000 and greater are presented to the Board of Supervisors for approval. 

Consequence of Denial/Inaction:
Denial of this task order will result in no expansion or renovation to the existing Judicial Center.
