D’Alessandro as the General Government Employee of the Quarter "Service Excellence Award” recipient and Shawn Divelbliss as the Public Safety Employee of the Quarter “Service Excellence Award” recipient for the second quarter of 2017. |

| The Employee of the Quarter "Service Excellence Award" Program is designed to recognize employees that consistently exemplify the County's commitment to providing extraordinary service to customers inside and outside the organization. All Spotsylvania County employees are encouraged to submit nominations for any employee or group of employees. Nominations are evaluated based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Displayed enthusiasm when handling customer concerns
- Providing prompt, efficient service
- Utilizing all resources to resolve a customer concern or complaint
- Identifying and taking active measures to resolve concerns
- Actively seeking knowledge about customer concerns and striving for customer satisfaction
