Recommendation: Approval of Modification #4 for renewal with Univar USA Inc., for Water Treatment Chemicals for the Utilities/Public Works Department. The contract modification has been approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office.
Summary: The initial contract to Univar USA Inc. was approved by the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors and awarded on January 29, 2014.  This is the last renewal option for this contract.

Additional Background/Other Considerations: Contract Modification #4 for renewal has been signed by the Contractor and the County Attorney’s office and is attached.  Water treatment chemicals under this contract are purchased on an as needed basis and delivered to the Ni River and Motts Run Water Treatment Plants.
Consequence of Denial/Inaction: Failure to approve this contract renewal will leave the designated facilities without a service provider to deliver the Water Treatment Chemicals required to treat water at the Water Treatment Plants.
