Recommendation:

The Commissioner of the Revenue recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the tax exoneration and direct the Treasurer to refund the excess to the taxpayer, with interest.

Summary: A statutory assessment was made for business tangible property #28360  for Christopher Wayne Burns T/A Burns Plumbing. He failed to file returns for tax years 2012 – 2017.  The taxpayer later filed amended returns for those years in December 2017 which represented lower assessments than amounts assigned in the statutory assessments, creating a refund of $5,970.41 with interest.
