Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of proposed amendment.
Summary: The proposed amendment to Division 5 – Real Estate Tax Exemption for Rehabilitated Structures includes the addition of a State Law reference.  The proposed enactment of Division 6 provides an exemption from taxation for the qualifying real property of spouses of any law enforcement officer, firefighter, search and rescue personnel, or emergency medical services personnel who are killed in the line of duty.
