The result is that Dovey Road will be paved this year.

Summary:
On May 9, 2018, the Board of Supervisors requested that Planning staff and representatives of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) evaluate the Unpaved Road Prioritization List to determine whether the paving of Dovey Road could occur sooner in the schedule. Staff and VDOT found that the surface of White Shop Lane was recently improved, providing a vacancy for Dovey Road to be moved up on the list. Both roads are located in the Livingston District. The Transportation Committee reviewed the proposal and unanimously voted to move Dovey Road up on the prioritization list in place of White Shop Lane. The attached list outlines all unpaved roads that are currently unpaved in the Virginia Secondary Street System, with the blue highlighted streets fully funded for paving to begin this summer.
