Recommendation:
The approval of a resolution to commend the actions of Ms. Steffany Schiel, Sheriff's Deputy Travis Puakea, and the FREM crews from Engine 5, Medic 5-2, EMS 2, and Battalion Chief 2, which resulted in the saving of a man's life.

This resolution of commendation recognizes the efforts of a bystander trained in CPR, who put her training into use, and was assisted by a Sheriff's Deputy until the arrival of FREM crews who provided advanced life support care to a visitor to Spotsylvania in cardiac arrest. The work of all involved resulted in the patient regaining a pulse and respirations prior to being transported to the hospital, where he was discharged a week later without significant effects from the event.
