Additional Background/Other Considerations: |
The purchase order has been approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office. |
|
Consequence of Denial/Inaction: |
Failure to approve the purchase of the ambulances will result in the prolonged use of aging ambulances within the fleet. The ambulances being replaced are experiencing reliability issues and their continued service is accompanied by increasing maintenance and repair costs. This lack of reliability impacts not only the first responders staffing the current ambulances, but also those patients who rely upon these vehicles to provide rapid care and transport in the event of a medical emergency. |
