Recommendation:
Obtain direction from the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors for updates to the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan.
Summary:

During the May 22, 2018 Joint Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors worksession, the Board indicated that they would like to be directly involved in the discussion about the Transportation Chapter of the Plan. In particular, the Board wanted to provide input into the project prioritization process. 

The objectives of the work session are:

1.  Identify transportation projects on an active working list.

2.  Discuss a scoring methodology for prioritizing projects.

3.  Discuss a policy for adding projects, removing projects, and re-prioritizing projects on the list.

The work session is to advise the Board of staff's suggestions and receive feedback from the Board to move forward for implementation.
