| The Code of Virginia requires that all general-purpose local governments publish a complete set of financial statements presented in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America and audited in accordance with governmental auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America. The County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for fiscal year 2018 has been audited by Cherry Bekaert, Certified Public Accountants. The results of their audit will be presented at the January 8th meeting by Rob Churchman, CPA and Partner of Assurance Services for Cherry Bekaert. Hard copies of the 2018 CAFR will be distributed to all Board members. An electronic version of the CAFR will be made available on the County’s website on January 9th. |
