Recommendation:

Staff recommends the Board approve the Special Entertainment Event Permit for the Imbibe Craft Beer & Arts Festival.  
Summary: The applicant, Eastern Sports Management, on behalf of Virginia Arts, Inc., requests a Special Entertainment Event Permit to conduct the Imbibe Craft Beer & Arts Festival at 3411 Shannon Park Drive (Fredericksburg Field House) on April 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  The festival is a charity event to raise funds for PlayOn, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to recreational programs for anyone regardless of age, gender and/or financial status.  Approximately 1,500 people are expected to attend the event which will include musical performances and approximately 70 vendors including breweries, merchants, and food trucks.  The performances, tents and vendors will be located on the exterior field and parking will be available on site within the Fredericksburg Field House parking lot.  The applicant will also provide shuttling services from partnering hotels.  The permit application has been reviewed and approved by the Special Events Review Committee.
