Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the Board adopt the attached resolution approving VDOT’s Form AM-4.3 Acceptance into the Secondary System of State Highways.

This resolution is for the acceptance of Hospital Blvd and the remainder of Spotsylvania Pkwy into the Secondary Street System.
Summary:
Planning staff and representatives of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) conducted an inspection of Hospital Blvd and Spotsylvania Pkwy located within the Lee Hill Voting District and found the roads compliant with VDOT standards. VDOT agreed that necessary pavement repairs on the site could be performed within the out-years of the Secondary Six Year Plan - 2020-2025. This resolution requests that the streets be formally accepted by VDOT into the Secondary Street System of Virginia State Highways.  This resolution is the second step in the process under the executed agreements by Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors and Virginia Department of Transportation.  This resolution and including the project in the Secondary Six Year Plan is consistent with the CIP. 
Financial Impact:

Obligation to fulfill the signed agreements with VDOT and remain consistent with the approved CIP.
