| The initial contract with Interstate Rescue, LLC was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 10, 2016 and included an option for four renewals. This is the third renewal year of the four-year renewable contract at the option of the County. |

| Protective clothing would not be under a County contract for use by career and volunteer personnel. This would delay delivery and would likely result in higher cost for the protective clothing that is essential for Spotsylvania County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management personnel safety. |
