At the Board of Supervisors Budget Meeting April 11, several options for employee health insurance coverage were presented. Option plan 1 was voted on and adopted for FY20. At the Board of Supervisor Meeting scheduled May 14th, we will present the new plan shared costing for the county and employees. Also being presented will be information on the Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP) that has been added to the KC20 and KC30 FY20 plan offerings. Lee Deskins will also be available with staff to present and answer questions.
Option 1 - Board decision was made to add $750K additional funding to $750K in recommended Budget for $1.5M total increase in the County's Share of Health Insurance for FY20. The Board voted to keep the current KC20 and KC30 plan coverages the same and to add a QHDHP Plan. We will use the same cost sharing % splits as the KC30 and the County will pay the same amount for each type of coverage in all plans (KC30, KC20 and QHDHP).
