| Change to the policy and procedure manual Chapter 11 Leave (11.4-part B Accrual). We recommend starting leave accrual the 1st of the month following the employee’s date of hire, mirroring the health insurance benefit policy in Chapter 10. The policy currently states leave accrual begins the first of the month after 30 days of employment. |

| The reason for change to this policy is twofold.

We recommend changing this benefit start date to mirror the policy change in Chapter 10 (10.2-part C Eligibility), that was adopted in April 2019, maintaining consistency with the onset of benefits.
2. When our new financial system (Finance Enterprise) goes live, the system will not be capable of maintaining two different start dates with these benefits |
