One (1) proposal was received for this procurement.  A Selection Committee reviewed the proposal and a contract was awarded to Mary Washington Healthcare Physicians which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 27, 2016. Employees will receive medical services through Reese Medical Associates, Occupational Division of Mary Washington Healthcare Physicians conveniently located on Spotsylvania Avenue in Spotsylvania County.

This is the third renewal of the four year renewal contract at the option of the County and there is no price increase for any of the services from the original contract.

Financial Impact:

Additional Background/Other Considerations:

The contract modification #3 is signed by Contractor, reviewed and approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office and is attached.

Pre-employment, annual and other medical evaluations are required for certain position classifications in the Departments of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management, Sheriff’s Office, Utilities, Parks & Recreation, General Services, among other County departments/offices.

Consequence of Denial/Inaction:
Services will be rendered to the County without the benefits of an existing contract, which could ultimately lead to increased costs, and the unavailability of these necessary and required services.
