Recommendation:
Approval of a purchase order contract to Stryker Sales Corporation for the purchase of eight (8) Lifepak 15 V4 monitor defibrillators and associated accessories in the amount of $270,889.80. 
Summary:
A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued for Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units by the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) of which the County is a member.   The County is purchasing eight (8) Lifepak 15 V4 monitor defibrillators and associated accessories from the awarded vendor, Stryker Sales Corporation.
Financial Impact:
Adequate funding is budgeted and appropriated within project FR2003, account 310-9130-802-8001 for award of this contract for this purpose.

Additional Background/Other Considerations:
The purchase order contract has been approved as to form by the County Attorney’s Office and is attached.
Consequence of Denial/Inaction:
Failure to purchase these devices will result in an inability to provide advanced monitoring of patients by responding units, and will present a critical challenge to FREM because the older models are no longer being supported by the manufacturer.
