Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors authorizes staff to apply for this funding and approves the attached resolution.


Summary:
We were recently made aware of an opportunity through Representative Spanberger’s office for potential federal Transportation & Infrastructure funding.  County staff members and the Representative’s staff members met today to discuss funding needs for transportation improvements in the area of the new VA clinic.  Staff is requesting the Board’s authorization to apply for the potential federal funding and the Board’s approval of the attached resolution.
